2015 Mechanical Engineering Faculty Awards Recipients

awardsThis year, the mechanical engineering department established a new award program to motivate and to recognize mechanical engineering faculty members with a superior record of research and teaching in the department.  The awards include: Junior Faculty Outstanding Research Award, Senior Faculty Outstanding Research Award, and Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award.

Dr. Alta Knizley, ME Instructor, was selected to receive the 2015 Mechanical Engineering Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award.  This award was implemented to recognize a faculty member who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to excellence in teaching, advancing the educational mission of the ME Department, and incorporating innovation in undergraduate and/or graduate teaching.  This award was open to all Instructors, Assistant, Associate, and Full Professors in the ME Department.  For more information about Dr. Knizley, click here.

Dr. Heejin Cho, ME Assistant Professor, was selected to receive the Mechanical Engineering Outstanding Junior Faculty Research Award.  This award was instituted to recognize exceptionally influential research accomplishments by its junior faculty.  The ME Outstanding Junior Faculty Research Award was open to all assistant professors in the ME department.  For more information about Dr. Cho, click here.

Dr. Yucheng Liu, ME Associate Professor, was selected to receive the Mechanical Engineering Outstanding Senior Faculty Research Award. This new award was instituted to recognize exceptionally influential research accomplishments by its senior faculty and was open to all the associate and full professors in the ME department.  For more information about Dr. Liu, click here.
