The Department of Mechanical Engineering has several specialized laboratories that are available for research projects. These laboratories include:

► Thermal and Fluid Dynamics Laboratory -This laboratory contains both a freon tunnel facility and a wind tunnel facility for conducting controlled and specialized tests in heat transfer and fluid mechanics.

► Desiccant Research Laboratory -This laboratory supports to research the applications of  desiccant technology and includes commercial and residential size desiccant units.

► Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Laboratory -This facility is an advanced manufacturing engineering laboratory with full-size computer-numerically-controlled (CNC) machines.  The CNC mill has high-speed machining capability.

► Materials Research Laboratories -These laboratories include a small foundry, tensil testing machines, and associated equipment for materials characterization.
