Student receives NSF Fellowship

Ph.D. student Ratessiea (Tessa) Lett, has received a Graduate Research Fellowship by the National Science Foundation.  These highly competitive awards provide $41,500/year  of discretionary funding during three years. Tessa was selected by her work on Modeling Solidification Defects in Castings. Lett’s selection was based on her outstanding accomplishments in the area of science research and engineering outreach. For instance, in the past five years, Lett has worked with the NASA Stennis Space Center and completed an internship in Spain at the Center for Automotive Research and Development.
