Daniewicz named interim head of ME
Dr. Steven R. Daniewicz, Mechanical Engineering Professor, has been appointed as the new interim Department Head for the Department of Mechanical Engineering starting October 5, 2009. Dr. Daniewicz has been a ME faculty member since 1994. He received a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and master’s and doctoral degrees from Ohio State.
Student wins 2nd place for poster
Saroj Kumar Jha, a Ph.D. Candidate in the Mechanical Engineering Department, MSU won 2nd place for his poster titled, “Simulation of Autoignition Phenomena of Hydrocarbon Fuels in Engine-Like Conditions” at the recently concluded MSU Biofuels Conference at Jackson, MS August 6-7 2009.
