September 8, 2016

SOCIAL-Ewing-Bagley-768x480STARKVILLE, Miss. – This fall, Bagley College of Engineering’s mechanical engineering department will introduce a series of seminars for undergraduate students.

The series opener will take place on Friday, September 9, at 2 p.m., in Hand 1100.

In the initial seminar, 1994 Mississippi State mechanical engineering graduate Chris Ewing will share the details of his career as a mechanical engineer and entrepreneur in the HVAC industry, including founding his own company, Ewing | Kessler, Inc. in 2005.

With the seminar series, department head Pedro Mago hopes to engage the entirety of mechanical engineering undergraduates, totaling over 920 students. Mago credits the support of the ME Advisory Board for the launch of the series.

“I am really thankful for the strong support of our advisory board,” said Mago. “I’m confident that this initiative is going to be extremely beneficial for our students.”

Future seminars will take place in October and November, with more details to come.
