Professor recognized by alma mater

Dr. Mark F. HorstemeyerDr. Mark F. Horstemeyer, leader of CAVS’ computational manufacturing and design group and a mechanical engineering professor was selected as the recipient of the 2009 Thomas French Achievement Award of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at The Ohio State University. The Thomas French Achievement Award is presented to alumni who have distinguished themselves as educators. Professor Horstemeyer received his MS from Ohio State in 1987.

Horstemeyer joined the Bagley College of Engineering as CAVS’ senior manager of computational manufacturing and design thrust and a chair professor of mechanical engineering. In 2004, he became a computational engineering professor.
