Knizley received one of the 2016 Engineering First-Year Experience Teaching Projects

Congratulations to Dr. Alta Knizley, an instructor in the mechanical engineering department, who won a 2016 Engineering First-Year Experience (EFX) Teaching Project from the Bagley College of Engineering. Her project was on “Industry, service, and hands-on immersion in ME 1111 Introduction to Mechanical Engineering course.”
The goal of the EFX Teaching Projects program is to support and encourage new ideas for improving first-year engineering education, with a focus on improving introduction to engineering courses, retaining students and increasing persistence to graduation.
