ME graduate student received an ASTM presentation award

rakishRakish Shrestha, mechanical engineering graduate student, received the ASTM 2016 M.R. “Mitch” Mitchell Best Student Presentation Award in the 2016 ASTM Committee Week, which was held in Orlando FL.  The event was open to graduate and undergraduate students working in the area of fatigue and fracture mechanics.

His presentation was on “Fatigue Modeling of Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK) under Mean Strain and Variable Amplitude Loadings.” In the picture, Rakish Shrestha (right) and Dr. M.R. Mitchell (left).
