ME Ph.D. student inducted into the BCoE Student Hall of Fame

Kyle Johnson, a mechanical engineering Ph.D. student, was inducted into the Bagley College of Engineering Student Hall of Fame.  Kyle has been doing research with Dr. Mark Horstemeyer on designing, producing, and characterizing two new metal alloys using laser engineered net shape additive manufacturing processes.  He is also the recipient of the NASA Mississippi Space Grant Consortium Graduate Research Fellowship and the BCoE Doctoral Fellowship. His patented work on football helmet optimization has been featured on Fox News and ESPN Road Trip. He has published 10 journals and conference proceedings.
