ME Ph.D. Student Received the 2016 SMART Scholarship

Congratulations to Andrew Bowman, a ME Ph.D. student, who was awarded a scholarship under the Science, Mathematics, And Research for Transformation (SMART) Defense Education Program.
Andrew has been working under the supervision of Dr. Mark Horstemeyer on “Multiscale Modeling of Polyethylene using the Modified Embedded Atom Method (MEAM) Potential.”
The SMART Scholarship Program has been established by the Department of Defense (DoD) to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
