ME Ph.D. student wins prestigious scholarship from ASTM International

Aref Yadollahi, a ME Ph.D. student, has been chosen as one of four recipients of the 2017 ASTM International scholarship.  The scholarship rewards graduate students who have demonstrated high levels of interest and involvement with ASTM Standards.  The awardees receive $10,000 to be used for their educational expenses.

The ASTM announcement states that “Aref Yodallahi of Mississippi State University will use the scholarship to continue experimental and numerical investigations on fatigue behavior of additively manufactured materials. He is a student member with an active role in ASTM International’s committee on fatigue and fracture (E08), pursuing his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering.”
